In Ayurvedic medicine, pudina, the general name for the mint plant family, is particularly valued for balancing Pitta dosha because of mentha's cooling qualities and its ability to stimulate the 'Agni' or digestive fire which is crucial in Ayurvedic medicine for overall health and well-being.
